Description
This article describes how to change the HDD status from JBOD to unconfigured good using the XClarity Controller (XCC).
Solution
Note: Make sure that you are updating the status of the intended drive. An incorrect operation may compromise your data.
- Access your XCC via the GUI interface (see Logging into the XClarity Controller).
- To enable access to update the drive status, select Server Configuration from the left-hand menu, RAID Setup, Storage Inventory, and then Enable edit mode.
- Once in Edit mode, click on the drop-down menu for the drive you want to change the status for in the Actions column.
- From within that menu, select Make drive unconfigured good.
- Once selected, you should see a message stating that the action was completed successfully.
